  1. "The Dems have failed to address the issue" THEY ARE ACTIVELY COMMITTING GENOCIDE.

But that's fine if genocide is a backburner issue for you, just glad you said so

  2. "The Jews aren't my #1 issue. The Autobahn makes my commute so much better, and us Germans are facing genocide here. So sorry if I don't prioritize the genocide abroad."

I very quickly skimmed the 12 pages of whatever argument was happening that I missed today so i don't really know what it was about

but what I can say is that if Jason added a dislike button to posts I would become a member

That's fine if the trans genocide currently going on here in the US with laws enacted by the GOP restricting life affirming/saving care and also resulting in a higher amount of suicides and trans related crimes is a back burner issue for you.

    See how that works?

I plan to vote for Kamala because I’m in kind of still in a swing state of because of how bad the gop is and she isn’t technically in charge of our current genocidal decisions but I wouldn’t tell her campaign that until she commits to an immediate ceasefire position and aid to Palestine. I don’t know why it’s so hard to support the protesters and still end up plugging your nose and vote if that’s what you want to do. It’s not a close issue, it’s a genocide! It’s ok to have a demand when the issue is that dire, it seems worth any risk of turning a few people off. All she has to do is take a strong position against genocide!

I wouldn’t get hopes up for the Dems doing anything. If we had a blue wave with massive support for popular policies they would take that political power and do nothing with it.

If we’re lucky we’d get some centrist policies slightly better than the status quo. But these Dems don’t have the will to fight for anything that people actually want.

Walz was a good pick and Biden dropping out is better than him staying in, but if you get your hopes up that anything will legitimately change you are only getting set up for disappointment.

The US isn’t a government running an endless wars, it’s an endless war running a fake government. Getting some of the rights we lost in the past six years back would be “progress”, but nothing stops the death machine.

What are dems doing about it? They are in power now ya know

  13. It is definitely on the back burner compared to Gazans (many of whom are LGBTQ+) having to sweep up the viscera of their family members into sacks. Did you see the account of the 12 year old who carried the pieces of his 5 year old brother that he managed to find in a backpack to an ambulance, and asked them to save him?

There is a trans genocide in the US but I want you to compare the sentences we've each written describing the mechanisms through which they are occurring and tell me which is more urgent.

is this entire argument just to say we're all on the same team and agree on the issues, we just powerrank them in a different order? because if so, god damn. what a waste of typing.

The likes I get from this site help prop up my extremely small shred of self-esteem and I'm afraid if dislikes were a thing, it would be snuffed out like, as one man so eloquently put it, a turd in the wind.

I wouldn’t go down the road of “power ranking” which Genocide is worse like they’re different Mario games

to be clear, powerranking genocides is fucked up. i am saying powerranking the priority of different electoral issues, the ongoing genocide being one of those.

It's honestly baffling to me why she hasn't publicly said anything. Even after having talks with people. I'm sure it's a plethora of stuff but mainly I think they've done the math and studied the statistics on what they gain and lose if they support Israel vs Palestine, which is sad tbh. That and being pro Palestine is so ingrained in American politics. And as I said earlier this country still has a huge islamophobia issue.

Re the dumb power ranking thing: That’s the problem though. It’s not “one of those” issues. It’s on a different level. The scale of suffering we are contributing to is on a level unlike any other issue except maybe climate change but that isn’t here in our face yet

  23. I don't know if this is directed at me but I am not doing this. I am pointing out that we are talking about a one sided war of annihilation being perpetrated with the most advanced weapons on earth

I can tell you what they're NOT doing which is making lives harder in Republican states. They're not restricting care and medicine. Yes they could do more but what they're NOT doing is already leagues better than what's already happening.

It’s funny to think about how all of this is in support of Kamala Harris, a thoroughly unimpressive and (until recently and suddenly) widely disliked politician who made her career throwing small time weed dealers in jail.

Obviously you can’t vote for Trump, but I don’t think it’s conspiracy theorizing to assume that Harris is essentially being installed as an empty vessel to execute the vision of more powerful party members like Obama, Pelosi, and Schumer, all of whom have made it clear what they really value. I find this all incredibly depressing.
