Hell yeah. I still won't believe it until it's on my screen though.

 

I am SO excited for that. After I read the book last fall, I've been starving for a new adaptation.

 

This doesn’t make sense, but that movie is still coming out before Speak No Evil.

Great article, and the shots looks really cool. Has me even more excited.

Although it outlines the plot pretty closely and even highlights the changes he made from the book so there might be too many spoilers if you're not familiar with the source material and the Tobe Hooper version.

 

I didn't see Annabelle Comes Home and I don't seem to like anything he's written (It: Chapter Two was okay), but I'm definitely curious

 

I liked the first It a lot, but that's about it lol. I'm probably too optimistic, but the story is there and that goes a long way.

 

You're Next is a modern classic IMO.

I love those TCM movies

 

Can't say this looks great or even like fun trash, but I like the concept and setting a lot so I'll probably check it out.

 

Damn I’m jealous of anyone in Austin that can be put out of their misery early.

And I am excited to watch it, but god this rollout has been tiring. Lol

I liked Oddity quite a bit. Unsure it will make my top 10 at the end of the year but damn, this director is so good at creating an ominous atmosphere. Has anyone seen his earlier movies? Oddity and Caveat are really solid but I can't call them favorites. Feel like McCarthy is gonna make something really special one day.

Edit: I guess Caveat was his debut and everything before it were just shorts?

 

yeah he’s not quite there yet (I’ve not seen Oddity yet but I trust those of you who have) but my feeling is he’ll make something special one day

I had to unsub from there today it was colossally bumming me out. that's the second dedicated film thread for a movie I liked that I've checked out of here in as many days lol, this site has issues

 

I havent been in that thread but I assume its the usual suspects causing issues?
