SoCo and Basement, exactly what I wanted

  2. Wish Allister was on the fest as well. They do make that SoCo after show look more attractive though.

Okay, some of these are awesome! Definitely gonna try and do LJG/Catbite on Saturday and I'll probably try talking my partner into Cobra Skulls and Direct Hit! at Cobra Lounge.

Also: Wouldn't mind if somebody like the Dickies or Strung Out or whoever had to cancel and Allister stepped in if we're being real about it. LOL

Aaaaand I officially cancelled my trip. Nothing on Friday/Saturday I'm especially passionate about, unfortunately, as much as I'd like to go to Soco.

These aftershows are…okay. Nothing that really screams “HOLY SHIT I NEED TO GO”, but St. Vincent at a metro or Cursive at Reggies would be cool.

Also it doesn’t really feel like there are any big bands playing small venues this year? I guess Hot Mulligan would apply and probably St. Vincent but aside from them everyone else seems like appropriate sized venues for them haha

Probably going to try for st Vincent, I’d like to do Manchester and Militarie gun but boy I hate HOB.

Im surprised they are doing Manchester at HOB instead of Metro. Also that it starts at 7:30pm

I'll never attend a HOB show again, some of the worst sight lines ever

Have you ever been to the Riviera Theatre? Unless you are in the first few rows or up in the balcony you can't see shit.

I hate the HOB too but my reason is that they oversell the shows and it's too cramped. Also you have to be on the actual floor to see anything.

The Sum 41 show is definitely the best one so annoying thats Wednesday. Otherwise have my eye on basement or spiritual cramp (probably Basement) and LJG Saturday. Would have done ManOrch but not if its that early. Pretty annoying

Will be doing LJG and Basement. Curious if LJG is a regular set or Op Ivy

Something Corporate and Basement are both headlining a 3.5k capacity venue here in Boston on their current tours. So I guess these rooms would technically be smaller? Though I have no idea what the rooms are like on other dates...

The Gel, Cobra Skulls, Spiritual Cramp, and LJG/Catbite shows all feel appropriately sized if not a little big for some of the headliners. Hah.

Same feelings about the Sum-41 show. Even if it were Thursday I'd be way more into it...

    Spoon doesn't play Metro-sized venues.

Lovecrimes is Mike Ness’s son’s band. They just opened for the Social D / Bad Religion tour this spring.

Kind of wish I hadn’t jumped on the NFG ticket already because I would like to do Sum 41 and Drug Church but I don’t know that I want to do five days straight.

If I somehow get Annie and SoCo tickets then I'm happy with not going to the actual festival.

My partner always mocks me for this but I'm doing my usual run of shows around the festival to minimize conflict FOMO and not feel compelled to do certain aftershows. Haha.

I'll be seeing New Found Glory/Sincere Engineer this week, ManchOrch and Militarie Gun the week before the fesitval, and Basement the week after the festival. I'll also be catching a Punk in Drublic date here but let's be real: I'll be watching NOFX, Lagwagon, Codefendants, and Catbite regardless. Hah!
