Ugh, this was great. Definitely in the same conversation as "Top Gun: Maverick" in the way it makes you feel (even if it's not quite as perfect)..

My inner tornado nerd was pleased that the last tornado scene took place in El Reno because the first tornado scene was definitely inspired by the El Reno tornado from 2013. Widest tornado ever and only storm chasing deaths in history, caught a lot of folks off guard the way the tornado in the opening did. First scene hits hard when you know that story and ending up in El Reno was a fun full circle moment for those in the know.

Also, no one's talking about Brandon Perea in this but between this and Nope get that dude in more movies! I feel like folks will just think he's playing a stereotypical redneck but it's so night and day from his work in Nope you can tell this guy is a one big role away from being a star.

I didn’t even realize that was him. Thought he was whatever in this but loved him in Nope.

I, for one, think hot people should be allowed to kiss. Really dug this movie, it was super fun.

Good movie. One of the better rebootquels they've made in the past decade.

this is back in Dolby at my local AMC this weekend, taking 3/4 slots with Alien: Romulus getting the last one. Must be bad tracking for Romulus

 

I heard it's happening at mine but I don't think it's this weekend. And it's alternating with the first Twister.

the first omen was too! I think disney was going to do that to a lot of the older 20th century fox projects but with the strikes last year they needed to fill the calendar a bit

Just watched this annnnnnd......

The original is great, but this was far more exciting and on another level for me. I loved every second of it. Thought I'd get annoyed with Glen Powell (Chad Michael Murray 2.0), but he was excellent.
