If I could have my old 97 Lexus rust-free and with an android auto deck, I would choose it over my low-mileage 2019 Civic easily.

Comfiest seats I've ever had, and it had a dial by the shifter that let you switch the suspension between Sport and Comfort mode. Comfort made it feel like you were driving on pillows even on super bumpy roads. Never had a smoother ride. And the original sound system in it was completely undamaged and sounded way better than my current car.

 

It wasn’t any bette before that btw. Just bonkers shit here

 

After my cutlass supreme finally died it was a series of hand me down cars from older relatives. First one after that was my great uncles Mercury Sable that had front bench seating which was perfect for an older teen with a girlfriend lol. Then eventually that one had to go and got my grandmother’s 1993 Toyota Camry. Looked old and the interior basically fell apart after a while. Then it was a 1995 Honda civic hatchback from my aunt I believe. Then I finally bought a car at an auction after that one, a 2003 Honda Accord that only had 128000
Or so miles on it, would prob still be driving it today but got rear ended and totaled. Used the insurance money from that to buy a somewhat shitty 2001 Toyota Corolla. Right around when that stopped passing inspection, I inherited my older brother’s 2010 Acura TSX when he passed. Still driving that, planning on driving it into the ground. Either that or maybe I’ll sell it to one of my sisters when their kids are of driving age and I wanna move on to an SUV.

'96 Plymouth Neon. Not even a Dodge. It was red, then my dad sanded it so we could paint it which it turned pink and we never got around to painting. Broken A/C and we lived in the desert, so when it was 105 degrees outside and it started to overheat I had to crank the heater. Broken gas gauge so I always ran out. Vice grips to roll down the passenger side window.

I went inside the house and told my wife what had just happened. she goes "well how much was he offering to pay for it?" as if this kind of thing happens all of the time
