I've never seen so much blatant racism and homophobia here in the south than right now before the elections. As a gay person here in the south I'm terrified that these are how people really are. My neighbors have "hang the bitch" and "Adam and eve not Adam and Steve" signs in their front yards. I overheard two police officers while I was getting coffee saying that trump will "make our jobs much more exciting". My cousin, who is also gay and is dating a black woman, has received several threats. It's just scary that all of these people just needed the boldness and a loud ass ignorant catalyst to show their true colors.
