Well, guess I’m getting up early on Saturday

 

i saw a commenter say this is only going to be the fortnite portion of the presentation? But i haven't seen that anywhere else. Disney and fornite need to clarify! Girl, so confusing

 

Just had my first go at the new lightning lane selection process for Disney World and man, it is kind of stressful trying to figure out what time I want to do every ride for each day that we bought it. I'll see if I like this way better than Genie+ but I kind of liked only worrying about 1 ride at a time with that method

 

Hmm

 

So it’s the same ride system Universal has been using for 20yrs? Was really hoping for something different. I’m sure the ride will still be good but some innovation would be cool.

 

Parks panel day

Anybody got predictions? For WDW the most sure thing is the DAK stuff with Tropical Americas and the Zootopia show. How much they get into Beyond Big Thunder and Villains Land is probably the big question mark.

 

Please give us something about Tomorrowland in Disneyland, it's so bad.

I found a live stream of the parks panel from someone in the audience

This is kicking off with a cover band dressed as Alice In Wonderland characters. Alice is now singing Blondie songs.

 

The Mad Hatter is now singing Journey. This is crazy.

 

Sounds like a nightmare

 

It is very specific kind of late 80's/early 90's type of corny

 

Actual panel starting. Starting with a video of Patrick the flight attendant from Soarin. Very meta. Making jokes about bloggers over hyping announcements

 

As scummy as it would have been, they should have just had you pay to stream it from home. Very easily could have made a bunch of money charging $10 bucks for access.

Ok these meta theme park nerd humour music numbers are all fun and all, but let's start with the announcements already.

 

Avatar at Disneyland first announcement. Coming to DCA. Going to be different than DAK's. Based on the landscapes featured in the sequel movies. Going to feature an innovative boat ride.

 

New ride looks like a more intense version of Navi River Journey.

 

I’m curious as to where in the park they’ll fit it in. Did they mention it? Are they gonna be removing a section of the park to make this work?

 

They didn't. Just showed concept art I am sure nerds will figure it out after.

 

New Coco dark ride coming to DCA. Breaking ground in 2026.

 

Concept art makes it look like an Avatar version of Pirates. I’m open to a modern take of a water ride. Should be interesting.

 

Summer 2025 new nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom. Disney Starlight.

 

Why did they spend all this money for these performances and then limit the number of people who could actually watch it? So dumb. I’m calling it now though that big portions of this are going to be made into a Disney+ special.
