I would’ve been happy with Neto but I’m kinda glad we aren’t getting him. The injury history really scares me.

Curious who our new target will be.

What happens to all the players who can't make the squad list for the season? Do they farm them all out on loans? lol

 

I hope nobody bites and they're left with a monolith of an unhappy squad.

The fact Chelsea can do a deal like this after the last few years they’ve had is a slap in the face to the new fangled financial rules and regulations. I don’t care if they’re hindered for a couple of years down the road, they’ve already bought two full squads at this point and the damage is done.

But again, I’m glad we didn’t pay 60m for a dude who has played 20 games in 3 seasons.

 

United should be all over Reguilon as a cheap LB option, regardless of moves for Mazaouri or anyone else.

 

The only other winger we’ve really been linked to is Nico. And that isn’t happening. But we definitely need to add one more attacker. Someone who can win 1v1 down the outside.

 

Bakayako and Conceicao are the two I’d have at the top of the list as far as realistic options.

Linked today with free agent Hermoso who has been at Atletico the last handful of years. LcB that can cover LB. Would kill a couple of birds with one stone at no price (wages/sign on excluded) as well.

 

Interesting, hadn't seen that but would be a great move.

Makes me feel a bit better about the Zirkzee fee, but with Solanke’s PL record last year and Tottenham’s desperate need for an out and out number 9 who can put away chances I get it. Always a chance that a Gyokeres at a similar fee just can’t adapt to the league whatsoever.

 

I’m interested to see if the competition between Solanke and Richarlison for more minutes will push either guy to another level. Either way, it’ll be nice depth with European games returning for us.

 

That is an insane fee for a 26 year old with only one year of scoring regularly in the top flight.

But, if he scores enough goals no one will care.
