They said something months ago In an interview the plan was to play the album in full on the tour

Looks like the set was only 75 minutes? I'm not the biggest Slipknot fan and don't know much about them, but I feel like they're almost a legacy band at this point that could push a slightly longer set time to play a handful of their other hits as an encore. I imagine there will probably be a lot of unhappy attendees to the shows on this tour. At the end of the day though I try not to be overly critical of band's set choices. It's their show, they can play what they want, and I usually go into shows with that mindset so I'm not disappointed if I don't hear a song I was expecting to hear.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

Yeah another 3 or 4 songs after the album play would've made it a little more complete.

    idk man

Completely understand all the comments about the set time/lack of non-self titled songs in the setlist and I agree. That said, I get it both in terms of the theme of the tour as well as the state of the band right now. It probably takes a lot for them to play all these songs, mainly for Corey.

Stoked for this. Was bummed when the summer tour didn’t come here and Amber Pacific hasn’t played in Portland in forever. Awesome support.

stoked Slipknot is doing the (nearly entire) s/t album, but for that price point a 75-minute set is somewhat of a disappointment.

IIRC, Corey refuses to do that one since the lyrics are about something traumatic he experienced. But I may be misremembering

I don’t know if Corey ever flat out said what or who the lyrics are tied to, but I’d imagine it’s either about not having his father around during his childhood, or about the sexual trauma he experienced. Can’t blame him for not wanting to play it live if it’s going to be painful. Kinda reminds me of watching Korn play Daddy live in 2015 and seeing Jonathan Davis break down towards the end and walk off stage. I appreciate him for playing it, but would’ve understood if it had been left off.

For the record if we get the hurricane rain and winds as predicted they will cancel both of these anyway.

its just suppose to rain its not going to be anywhere near bad enough to cancel a show (philly anyway)

Saw today that the Fred Again arena tour used regional independent electronic promoters for some of the shows, that’s pretty cool.
