I hate to say it but the best thing to ever happen to this band was Dan Leaving

 

I disagree, Composure was great and really felt like they started to hit their stride as a collective. It felt like new-age the starting line. That being said, I really like what Cody brings to the band too and love the direction they've been heading with the last couple songs

 

In any event, Cody is a much better live vocalist than Dan was. He's got a lot of energy on stage.

 

Composure was a great record. For me, it was a live thing. I saw RF so many times when he was in the band and every single time, it was by far the worst live singing I’ve ever personally heard.

Saw RF a few weeks ago and walked away thinking that with this new singer is 100x the vocalist that Dan is. It really excited me for this band

I don’t say any of this to bash Dan. We have mutual friends and he is a great guy

 

Yeah, fair enough. I've seen some live videos of Dan that been very rough to get through... but on that one record he sounded great haha.
