Etta James is his best solo track.
    Unless you count Blood Loss.

oh, I don't think this changes anything, but in my head when I was thinking about this, I wasn't considering any Horrible Crowes stuff as Brian solo

Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

(Quickly rushes to Youtube to find that video of Keith Buckley singing this song with them in 2015 to make myself forget that I read this comment).

Looks like a killer set last night in LA - 7 songs off 59 and debut of the RHCP cover "Soul to Squeeze" which would be super interesting to hear

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I’d be real bummed getting a RHCP cover instead of an actual song lol

I know this as an unpopular opinion, but I don't like it at all when bands play cover songs at concerts

I would, however, be pumped to see Gaslight play "Soul To Squeeze" because I absolutely love that song haha

I remember before streaming trying to figure out which Chili Peppers album that song was from and striking out and then thinking I was crazy and like imagining that song or something

fucking Coneheads soundtrack! who would have guessed?!?

Clip is up on Dimestore Saints Instagram. Doesn't sound great honestly, but I do love the RHCP.

I'm more like 50/50 - it really depends on the band and song - some bands cover great songs and really make them their own and unique and I love those.....just depends

covers live are great, if they’re of songs that make sense. gaslight choosing to cover a non-album track by a band that sounds nothing like them is goofy lol

their chloe dancer cover is great though and i enjoyed the pink floyd cover last tour

Peppers are a great band to listen to but tough one to try and cover IMO

if they wanted to play a Bruce song I’d be down

also I know why he wouldn’t want to

it’s a fine line. most pearl jam shows have one or two incredible covers, one with them putting on for a smaller band that was an influence or doing a much bigger band, like the who or whatever. i think live covers can be cool if you’re doing a unique spin on something or highlighting a smaller band but if you’re just doing a note for note cover of a huge song it’s pretty dumb lol

PJ’s covers are great. Often the highlight of the show. Agree
