So Slipknot never announced it officially but on the first night of the tour they played all of their self titled debut and the b sides

Pretty okay. I went for Knocked Loose. They were tight and the pit was fun, but still not as good as when they headline their own shows. At one point I was the first crowdsurfer and as soon as security set me down Bryan said “get up here” and i still have no idea if he was talking to me or just hyping up other people to surf.

I’m not the biggest Slipknot fan but I have that first record and knew from this site that they might do an album play. It was incredibly clear from the start that that’s what was happening. They were even in their retro masks and jumpsuits.

my wife was with me and she’s really the Slipknot fan between the two of us. It was her first time seeing them, and she felt a little cheated out of the post-1999 hits.

the set felt really short and they did a lot of ambient tracks plus an encore so they theoretically could have played more. Pit for Slipknot got sloppy. Some medical scares that the band played through. Musically they were tight as hell and I was impressed at how much energy they all still have at that age.

It’s definitely not a tour to miss if you’re a superfan or nostalgic for that first album.

There's people genuinely so upset that Slipknot is doing all of Self Titled and leaving out the post 1999 hits. Which I get if it's your first time seeing them, but as someone who's already seen them twice I think I'll live without seeing People=Shit or Before I Forget. I'm just stoked to finally see Only One and Scissors.
