They are about as good as it gets in terms of a massive rock band performing live. We're my first "real" concert as well but not recently, a loooong time ago

Overheard a couple dudes at one of the bars talking about how twenty years ago, they were their first concert on the AI tour when they came to Toronto. Must’ve been a cool experience to see them on the anniversary

I’ve seen a lot of people saying it was their first time seeing them and they loved it! Ran into this girl at the hockey hall of fame wearing a shirt and she had an AI tat. Was chatting with her, said that show was gonna be her eighth time seeing them live! Felt awesome to be around so many other levels of fans of the band haha

Still surprised that nothing has been announced for the 20th anniversary of American Idiot. Like a special edition or something.

We got 25th anniversary editions for Insomniac and Ninrod, maybe they’re waiting for that one

Whatever this is would have to be the 12th. Since they have shows the 9th, 10th, 13th and 15th and don’t play more than 2 days in a row

Yeah I saw the AI tour in Australia when I was 14. Simple Plan opened. Have seen them every time they have returned since, including when they skipped Adelaide so I went to Melbourne to see a stadium show with Jimmy Eat World and My Chem as openers. Best use of my meagre after school work pocket money ever.

What will they do if it’s raining at one of the dates? Play anyway? We’re supposed to go on Friday but it’s looking like Hurricane Debby is going to be dumping a bunch of rain here that day

I went to the DC date (the first date of the US tour) and there was a big thunderstorm so this happened. Rancid got pulled off after two songs and we all had to shelter under the cover in the stadium while they evacuated the seats and waited out the storm for like almost an hour. Smashing Pumpkins had to cut like four songs. GD played their full set but they went over curfew by like 10 minutes

If there's no thunder/lightning and it's just rain they might just proceed though, probably depends on the venue

Aforementioned Melbourne show it started raining right as Billie sang "here comes the rain again" (true story) and they just played through it for like an hour.

I'll be there Friday as well. There was a downpour at the same venue during the Hella Mega Tour for the entirety of FOB's full length set after it started raining toward the end of Weezer's set. There weren't any issues. As long as there is no thunder/lightning, we should be fine.

    Things have changed.

Four discs, including B-sides, demos (including some with titles I've never seen before) and a full live version of the album from 2004:

Do or do not, there is no try.

Can’t see yet due to time zones but does the base album have the tracks separated? (As in Holiday/Blvd aren’t one track)

This actually is the thing I care most about and is the best way to celebrate this momentous occasion.
