Apparently Trump on that stream said he heard Iran is going to attack Israel tonight

 

Been saying it since 2007 and I'm still here.

 

This pisses me off today in particular because I had to spend the morning defending myself against an accusation that I used ChatGPT on a writing project. I had to walk through the brief and my final document line by line explaining my entire writing process. It ended with the client going "well, our tool said it's likely written by ChatGPT." Yeah, because ChatGPT was made using my - and hundreds of thousands of other writers - writing to begin with.

 

Those assholes owe me royalties.

 

Also, those "tools" are complete bullshit and are just guessing.

Just ask the client to write a sentence, any sentence, and then run it through the tools and you will get at least one that gives like an 80+% chance that it was written by AI.

 

Yeah, there were a dozen different ways the conversation could have gone, diving into the ways these tools work or asking why GPT gets the benefit of the doubt but I don't, but in the end I left it at this: "I get so much joy out of writing. Even if AI could make the process more efficient (which I don't believe it does), I wouldn't use it because it would mean I get less time doing something I love."

 

Yeah, AI check tools are so bad rn.

I have tried to get into Bon Iver on countless occasions and just can't do it - outside of a few songs.

That said, his song with Zach Bryan last year absolutely slaps.

RE - Google ruling...

It's crazy that you can search for something specific, and then a sponsored item turns up ahead of that.

EX - I was apartment hunting and searched the SPECIFIC apartment I wanted, and other places in the neighborhood showed up first which means they paid google to promote them if their competition was searched.

I know the ruling doesn't have to do with exactly that, but that's shady. If you search 'apartments' then sure, let sponsored things show up first, but a specific search should pull up the closest match as the #1 only.
