I know this is simplistic, but I just presume if you have a top-5 QB you're gonna be at worst a 9 win team. I trust the remaining 52 guys to get 2 or 3 wins.

 

Better than general expectations: Jags/Vikings

Worse than general expectations: Jets

 

I don’t think the bills are gonna go like 4-13 but I think they will be worse than last year and possibly not make the playoffs

You must have a lot of faith in either the AFC North or AFC South to send 3 playoff teams. No way the west is sending anyone but the Chiefs.

North did it last year. Also I have no idea what the chargers are going to do this year. They could be 4-13 or 13-4. I have no clue!

 

Yeah Chargers are a massive mystery and love or hate Harbaugh (hate is the correct answer) he can pull some good wins out of his ass at any time

 

I think Chargers defense will still be pretty pretty bad

 

Better: Commanders, Raiders
Worse: Rams, Jets, Browns

 

IMO there will be a team from the AFC and a team from the NFC playing in the super bowl. the months of september - january will determine who the teams will be.

Chargers I think with Harbaugh will win those 4th quarter close games where Staley was pulling some brain dead shenanigans

However, the team is significantly less talented than even 2 years ago and Herbert is already hurt with what could be a nagging foot injury all year. So I don’t know, I think they’ll stink and be one of the most boring teams to watch

What are expectations for the 49ers at this point?

 

I think the AFC mostly comes down to which QBs stay healthiest, which is anyone’s guess, so I’m pretty lukewarm on predictions there

There’s no real reason the playoffs shouldn’t be some combo of BUF, MIA, HOU, JAX, CIN, BAL, and KC if their cores stay healthy, but there’s plenty of teams (NYJ, CLE, PIT, IND, LAC) good enough to take advantage of a QB injury from any of those, and a few more (NE, DEN, TEN) who are decent candidates to be the 2024 version of last year’s Houston Texans if their young QB happens to be this year’s Stroud

 

The favorites to win the NFC and make another playoff run. I think they fall short of one or both

 

They’ll lose to GB this time around
