Yeah but like IRL this would have just been on a 2nd night, not middle of the day lol. And for a while I was going with it thinking “oh, they set up this early show specifically as the trap.” But then it is revealed that they had tickets to this show BEFORE the feds or anyone knew he would be there.

I don’t REALLY care, or need the movie to be realistic, it’s just like the one thing that annoyed me because it didn’t need to be that way lol.

the amount of people just walking around the concourse whilst the headline act is on really took me out

man this was so much fun. no idea how anyone was bored with this, absolute pressure cooker of a film. I could've watched Hartnett squirm out of nets and do sociopath shit for 3 hours, but I loved how once they leave the stadium you just have no idea what's coming from trailers and the promo they did. Raven stealing Cooper's phone was a "holy shit" moment for me, did not expect that

my best friend reckons they were setting him up to join the UnGlassable Universe at the end there, I... do not agree

This was just ok. I liked everything in the arena more than after. Josh rocked.

also the stadium exterior is very clearly Toronto’s Rogers center (where I’m seeing blink in two weeks) with cgi’d signage. No idea where the interior is though. The color of that upper seeing is very specific.

Movie ruled and Josh was awesome, watching him wiggle his way out of multiple times out of being caught was funny as hell

It was okay. I have no idea what was meant to be funny and what wasn't at times as the dialogue was so terrible and on the nose. Others have disagreed, but the way his characters talk and freely share plot advancing information is just off and not at all how people talk. From the very first lines in the car, i knew it was going to be more of the bad shyamalan than the good.

The last 30 minutes were pretty intense and there was plenty of interesting subtext to chew, but i just think that most of his later movies havent been executed well enough to cover his flaws as a dialogue writer.

I really liked it! Hartnett was amazing! Loved how the character had to constantly problem solve his way out of shit while bouncing between his two personalities.

Probably M. Night’s most straight forward movie, which is a good thing, yet still with the M. Night signature sprinkled in there.

So, I hope there’s more like this in the future with Josh. What a dude. I’m excited he’s back in the spotlight!

Would’ve been amazing if they tied this into Halloween H20 for some closure. Would’ve worked lol.

Super disappointed, especially after a Knock at the Cabin rewatch; the editing, especially, was so bad.

New fear: my kid sincerely telling me I’m being weird in public

Surefire way to avoid that is to not look at an open trap door and tell your kid “Let’s go down there! There might be wigs!”

you can swerve any possibility of this by not being a sociopath serial killer thankfully

This was a really fun movie, I liked it. Half the fun of it was watching Josh be like serial killer MacGyver trying to escape from the situation and I thought he did a damn good job. There’s definitely some problems with the story but I think a lot of them are just minor nitpicks for CinemaSins dorks and nothing that really derails the movie. M Night should make another one but with him trying to escape out of jail or something.

Honestly....the only thing that really bugged me was the casting of Alison Pill. Should've picked someone different in my opinion. IDK why, but I just find her quite annoying even if she is a good actress haha.

Anyways this was an absolute blast. All the nitpicking and plot holes people are pointing out are dumb. Just turn your brain off and enjoy the ride. Harnett is back babbbby.

I’m still looking forward to seeing this but it’s not usually a good sign when people defending a movie say pointing out plot holes is dumb and turn your brain off haha

I mean it’s an insane premise to begin with, a concert is a trap to catch a serial killer. You already have to suspend disbelief to start so just have fun.
