Being able to play guitar with an amp after years of having to play unplugged or with headphones

 

I haven’t seen my best friend from childhood in years. We didn’t have a falling out or anything, just drifted apart. But she is still the best friend I ever had. Her mom messaged my mom and asked if we would like to surprise my old bff and come to her birthday party. It’s today and I’m so excited to see her again! Hopefully we can use this as an opportunity to reconnect and be friends again bc I really miss her!

 

Going to see a double-feature of two of my most-anticipated films of the year tomorrow :)

 

Also this is scary but good stuff - our first ultrasound looked great and I confirmed my enrollment in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program I was considering :)

An actual good happy hour with reasonable prices and portions. Had a late lunch that kept me full and the bill was under $25 for two (no alcoholic drinks tho). I'm so used to "happy hours" that are just like $1 or $0.50 off and that's it, so I was pumped

 

Seeing an old favorite band play a reunion show with my best friends

 

Traveling.

I haven’t gone anywhere exciting since before COVID, but we just booked a flight to Brazil for ten days in December. I couldn’t be any more excited. Last time I traveled out of the country was 2017 - ughhh.

 

Feeling a sense of direction for the first time in a very long time. I just hope it’s not temporary.

The band Tigers Jaw’s discography. Two Worlds and Belongs to the Dead are just ok, but all their other albums are so good.
