Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

My 1st daughter was born in 2020 so naturally “When You’re Ready” has been the song I return to most from that album because it just hits so hard

Okay but what really matters is we need “The Blues, Mary” on streaming, but only the Live Crossroads version.

I really wish I had all of the Painkillers era bonus tracks in album quality, particularly "Georgia", "Low Love" & "The Blues, Mary"

    * edited to add that I realized that leaves out "Tin Pan Alley", so just scratch the second, qualifying part of my original post - I wish I had them all that way

I saw him play “Georgia” in Philly the week the album came out, and was like “wait, how did THIS not make the album?” Such a great song.

I like all three of his solo albums quite a lot, but they’re all a step below the four albums he released in that five-year period, for me.

Let me tell you guys something....

This band is back and on fire. Every single one of their records is a classic, including get hurt.

And go listen to we came to dance - these guys know how to bring rock back

The Georgia EP is on streaming though?

I’ve never understood why The Blues, Mary was left off that release. I’m not sure where I heard the studio version, but I know I heard it & I preferred the Live at Crossroads version.

I’d honestly take it at this point though! I just want it in my library with everything else.

Some days Get Hurt is my favorite.

some days every other album is my favorite.

but it’s Elsie and we all know it.

Studio version of The Blues, Mary was included on the 7” boxset version of Painkillers.

Really haven’t stopped listening to this album since the new version.

Just so much more life added into these already good songs, but it just sounds so, so good.

They had a great set last night in Sf. I was always lukewarm on mulholland drive but man that song hit last night

yeah, but there's a noticable step down in quality with the actual album tracks. and I've never been able to track down a quality copy of the studio version of "The Blues, Mary" that came as a vinyl bonus thing with the album.

Ohhhh okay! Yeah I know what ya mean. I never looked at the credits, but weren’t they done with different producer? Maybe I’m remembering that wrong, but I do remember being like “these can’t be the same sessions?”

I think what I heard was that bonus track vinyl rip of The Blues Mary, so that might be why I wasn’t impressed. It *sounded* like it was closer to the Live Crossroads version but the quality wasn’t there.
