Also I don’t know if I agree with how they do their math over there. The math might be good, but they let some of the vaguest shit count as a truth.

The original Avengers 5 story had Shang-Chi as one of the main leads.

But why would Destin make Shang-Chi a lead in his Avengers movie?

 

If anything, I think it’s more telling that Marvel was ok with Shang-Chi already co-leading(?) the Avengers. It might be a sign of some big plans they had, or still do have, for the character.

 

Oh I know, I was just messing around. I really hope there is still a big plan for him. He’s been one of the highlights for me this saga.

Shang-Chi’s part was going to be influenced by the recent comic run where the rings are trying to corrupt him (similar to the Ring from LOTR). I would like to see how that would have worked with him being a co-lead of the Avengers. Maybe we’ll get it in his sequel or in Doomsday.

 

And this makes me think a proper YA film was never part of the plan

 

In an Avengers movie some characters would do some things, and others would do other thing Is my favorite “ marvel gossip” leak of all time.

 

Sounds like the structure they went with in Infinity War, which, imo, is the best way to juggle so many characters.

 

Vague leaks are the best, because they're almost generic enough to be a given, and if anything turns out to be wrong, the leakers can just say "plans changed". It's the slam dunk of fake news.

 

tbf, I’d be surprised if the fine details ever made it to paper before the story was reworked. I wouldn’t expect anything too specific to be leaked.

 

This just reaffirms my opinion that leaks are pointless and dumb.

 

I take most leaks as glorified fan theories
