*Zoe Bayani - You Don’t Want Help (indie rock)

I want to highlight the Zoe Bayani album. RIYL frame fronted indie rock like Julia Jacklin or Soccer Mommy. She is a smaller artist but I’ve always loved her chord progressions and vocal harmonies. I also highly recommend her previous EP (Worst Nights)!

Slow week. Mostly just Footballhead, Why?, and Anberlin for me. Curious enough about the new Pumpkins to give it a try as well.

Just finished the new Pumpkins, it's their best since Zeitgeist IMO, however, i'm still not digging it greatly after the first listen. It's like Billy put heavy guitars back in the mix because he thinks he is giving the fans what they want, but the melody and song structure aren't there for me anymore. They need a producer that can bring Billy's voice back in the mix and maybe give direction to the songs. (Not that Billy would allow it) To me, it's like he has the musical equivalent to when an athlete has the yips.

Thanks!! We were lucky to get Zach Tuch to mix/master, he did Heart Attack Man's last record - amazing guy to work with!

Didn't hear about the Midfield full length anywhere. Your list is always so clutch!
