wild that the American got 3rd despite still picking up a penalty because only two people had clean runs. everyone was pushing hard and taking risks which is exactly what you wanna see, even if those risks don't always work

 

As far as I understand it they separate them if it isn’t going anywhere. The goal is to throw them or pin them to end it immediately. There are “points” for like certain attacks, but many matches end without any of those getting on the board.

 

Loved her celebration with her parents though. A very wholesome moment.

 

In a lot of cases people who are into sports like that are from like the same 20 places around the world where the facilities for this stuff and an active scene are. You see it a lot in winter sports too, like ski jumping or skeleton. So if you’re from one of those places chances are it’s relatively natural for you to give it a go.
