Chloe is good but definitely his first that would be better as an EP. Always on board for new Misty though, this song rules

Yeah, Chloe is a very mood type record for me. Not something I listen to very often compared to his other albums

 

Where is the confirmation that a new album is coming later this year?

I found a video of the song (not my exact show) and it was so different! Half the length and it was like an 80s ballad

Awesome! I assumed when I saw the greatest hits comp this morning that it meant this song would be a one off, so I'm very happy to hear that's not the case!

 

i have a friend who has done art/design work for FJM in the past that has heard this and said it’s similar to chloe but “slightly groovier with more guitars”

 

oh yeah well I have a friend from high school that has produced/mixed some of his songs but I haven’t talked to him in 10 years so I have no input.

For me I couldn't have a best of without The Night Josh Tillman Came To Our Apt. Perhaps more surprising is the omission of Bored In The USA.

In terms of inclusions, I struggle to find any faults.

 

I'd definitely add both the ones you listed as well as "Nothing Good Ever Happens.."

Very happy with everything chosen though. And it's a tough question to answer because basically every track on his first 4 LPs are hits for me lol

 

I saw him open for Kacey last night and he played like 4 new songs. In like the broadest sense, they sounded a little more like GFC era more than any other, to me anyway. One or two were rockers and the others were a bit more mellow. If I’m being honest they didn’t seem to have the big hooks he’s usually great at, but again that’s just general impression hearing them live once.

 

I really hope I get a setlist more similar to the second night in Boston from him. Tbh I don't need to hear 4 new, unreleased songs in an 8 song opening set. I'm sure it'll be great regardless, but I wish he'd at least have released one of these (or was playing Time Will Make Fools)

Hate to say it but the energy really did pick up once he played Nancy

 

He had a listening party at a record store last night and played the whole thing apparently. Gave these out, album date is 11/22.

 

I hope the album title is Time Can't Touch Me and not Hahashmashana lol
