Seems like the whole "they're weird" messaging is working and they don't a defense for it.

 

Stupid as hell that coke and pepsi by far are the biggest sources of plastic waste and we simply do not need plastic packaging for shit that is not only not necessary it’s objectively bad for you. The plastic industry will say we’re trying to take away needed medical equipment but actually we’ll just settle for changing the way food and beverages are packaged and it would make a huge impact

 

It remains to be seen what the ultimate tangible effect is but, as of now, it has produced a dynamic where they are called weird and their response is to simply double the indignance and volume of their weirdness.

I did private through 7th thanks to financial aid and public onward thanks to caring more about playing baseball than school and I’m also white-presenting Cuban/Mexican, so I feel like I walked between two worlds for my youth and young adulthood. I also later worked at a private school in my 20s.

Private schools have a lot of fucked up shit going on and a lot of fucked up classist shit that gets re-enforced to the kids and, on an individual level, I don’t see an inherent advantage for all kids to do private over public. I’d rather my kid have an “average” education and treat people with dignity and be healthy than give them a world-class education with byproduct that encourages dehumanizing or fetishizing non-wealthy populations and increases likelihood of self-harm.

 

Lol the trumpy (lol autocorrect keeps changing it to grumpy) part of my family literally owns a plastic bottle company and it makes me laugh thinking about shutting them down AND helping the environment maybe a little bit

X Touts Misleading Engagement Stats, Ad Buys See 'Drastic Drops'

As X owner Elon Musk continues to post about record high engagement on his social media hub, a new report by data intelligence platform Tracer shows “significant drops” in user engagement and “drastic drops” in advertising unlike competitors like YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest.

In June, X advertising saw drops month-over-month and year-over-year, the report shows, with click-through-rates (CTRs) declining 78% month-over-month, which the report suggests reflects a sharp downturn in user activity. In addition, cost-per-thousand (CPMs) decreased 17% from May to June, suggesting that advertisers are also leaving X.

What if rents were tied to the average wages of the surrounding area? But I suppose that'd be communism!

 

Probably just smart for Jack Black and co. to cancel until Spring next year, avoid dealing with death threats/crazies and no one will care at that point. Not sure anyone cares at this point.
