Maybe I should a rewatch of the s8 then. Been a while and always stop my rewatches when Mulder leaves lol.


Watched #ChadGetsTheAxe and Late Night with the Devil tonight.

 

yeah most people do and that's definitely fair lol, you do still get some Mulder action in the latter half of s8 tho

also it's so fucking funny there's a character in these seasons called Knowle Rohrer, it sounds like "knrrrl rrrrhrr" whenever anybody says it. 30 Rock ass name

 

Did Viy and the original Wicker Man tonight for an upcoming folk horror episode of our Horror Fest podcast. For a movie about harboring naked children on an island, it's unfortunate how much young Christopher Lee looks like Epstein in that one

 

How was Viy?

 

Really, really good. Took some time to get going but I honestly preferred it a bit to Wicker Man. Totally different movies to be fair, but the practical effects are honestly unbelievable (complimentary). Absolutely worth the watch.

 

Never heard of it before but I’ll check it out

 

Ah whoops I was planning to continue watching some of my dvd blind buys today but I ended up watching a ton of the Dungeon Meshi anime instead haha

 

Preferred it to Wicker Man as well.

 

My plans to see it last night didn’t go as planned, so I still haven’t seen it

 

Happy for Neon (although Parasite is the better film!)

The Strangers is pretty good, love Liv Tyler, Scott Speedman's character on the other hand is a little annoying. I can see why this has gained a cult following as like the quintessential home invasion movie, but I don't particularly care for it that much. Hush and You're Next are much better, but tbf they did come after and were most likely influenced by this. Maybe I'll like the second one more

 

The Strangers: Prey at Night
I actually liked this a little more, tho I do miss how creepy and claustrophobic the first one is. Christina Hendricks and Bailee Madison were good. i think the mom was killed off way too soon and also the brother just kept being dumb. if someone just stabbed your sister, you fucking shoot them. if someone's chasing you with an axe, maybe don't jump into the pool. it was also kinda silly how the mask dude kept coming back at the end.

I watched "the girl who got away today" on a whim and I legit have no idea what the plot was. I felt like I got double plot twisted except it just cancelled it all out and I was just confused lol

 

What iconic killer would be the coolest to party with? My gut says that Freddy would be good to slam beers with but I bet Michael or Jason would be chill af to smoke a bowl with. Or maybe not cause they’d be too quiet and dark and pensive. Jigsaw would be a legendary pong partner I bet

 

So I remember seeing in here the recent hell house was good. Are any of the other sequels?

First and 4th are very good. 2nd was meh and the 3rd was real bad
