That was a beautiful finale, as a semi- struggling father myself I teared up in a few of those last scenes.

i cared more about finding out what was in Earn’s pockets than i did any of the questions in Westworld go figure

Figured the final scene was going to reveal that he actually was selling drugs, but the actual ending felt so much more tragic than that. Jesus.

  7. Good finale. That ending...damn.

I almost lost it with Darius towards the end. "I ate them two blunts when the cops came, so tonight's gonna be weird."

What a great finale for an amazing first season of this show. As a massive fan of Glover, I'm so happy that this show was so well received. The year long wait for the second season is gonna be rough

Was it? I appreciate the ambuguity of it, but it felt like a happy ending to me. He spent the whole season crashing at other people's places and now he's got his own. He seemed content to me, otherwise he would have just stayed with Van

  11. Haven't gotten to this week's yet but just watched the penultimate episode and wooooow.

Probably the best of the first nine for me. Great directing from Janicza Bravo.

Unless I missed something, we never saw what came of the shooting situation that was in the first scene of the series, correct? I know in Episode 1 they were released from jail, but throughout the series other characters kept mentioned PaperBoi shot that guy.

I thought when they were being pulled over in the finale, they were going to arrest PaperBoi for the shooting.

I don't think Paper Boi shot anybody. I think the other guy probably tried to pull his own gun out and shot himself in the leg, just my own theory. But I kind of doubt they're going to answer it at all

Not saying he did shoot him or not, but I guess that's kind of my point. We never found out but throughout the series people come up to him and say things about the shooting. The comments from others made it sound as though he did. My theory is that in the world of Atlanta, it just wasn't a big deal.

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

I interpret it is it doesn't necessarily matter if he did it or not, but it showcases the reaction of the general public to the "news" (some people think it gave him street cred, some are repulsed by but, but is now universally known as "the rapper who shot a dude"). It's just a plot point to accentuate a certain idea Donald wanted to convey.

Yeah it won't be addressed again. The dude ran away so there was no one to press charges.

After the first few episodes not returning to that story line, I was kind of disappointed and hoped we'd eventually get a resolution, but as the season progressed, I cared less and less and now realize it doesn't matter at all.

  21. I was always thinking we'd see more of those drugs dealers from the woods from too. I'd say my biggest complaint about the show (which also happens to be my fault for assuming) was that I had no reason to believe there wouldn't be a major ongoing story during those first few episodes so I was really looking for it and therefore probably not really watching the show with the right mindset. It wasn't until like episode 5 or so where I kinda realized none of it really matters, haha.

I just think it's weird how the first half of the season seemed to be a linear progression, and then the second half was almost all stand alone. It made the show feel uneven

The episodes themselves were all great though, so whatever

That loneliness is not a function of solitude.

After Westworld, this is my favorite new show this year. It had such a chill vibe that it actually relaxed me to watch it, even as I laughed and felt sad at different parts.

I feel like FX might have had something to do with the order of the episodes.

Pretty sure I heard on a podcast recently that they were not aired in the order that they were written/filmed.
