Heavyweight almost feels like that time we had the weird situation at Middleweight with two belts. Where Bisping was over here defending against Hendo and GSP while the “real” title was over to the side with the actual contenders lol.

Aspinall is so damn good. He is so quick and athletic and definitely knows how to find his shot. Also really good wrestling. I think he’s a pretty bad match up for Jones.

Only thing I would say is a weakness is that he’s really hittable. Blaydes caught him clean a bunch of times because his chin is up in the air, but he took it with ease. Might be an issue against someone like Ngannou but I don’t see it being a problem with Jones who doesn’t have that much power.

Mokaev basically being cut is wild. I know it’s the last fight on his contract but he is the obvious number one contender at this point. PFL doesn’t even have a 125 division lol I wonder what he did to piss Dana off? It’s can’t just be his fighting style because there’s been many title challengers who were boring who didn’t get cut. Hell Belal can be very very boring and just won the title lol

 

I was trying to piece together some stuff and it seems like it was a case of the matchmakers not liking him and some combo of incidents between this past week and another time at the PI.

Ariel even hinted at it being much more than just a boring fighter thing.

 

Yeah seemed like they wanted him gone anyway but were giving him this one last fight hoping he’d go out on a loss to diminish his value.

Umar vs Sandhagen should be entertaining as hell. I know Sean wants to move up for a massive fight like Ilia/Max or Connor, but the winner of this fight should be next up if Sean beats Merab and stays at Bantamweight.
