yeah, I do not see this as anyone getting anything wrong though - people saying that were talking about trump vs. Biden and not trump vs. Kamala Harris.

I mean, we can argue about the hypotheticals of it, like if trump was going to waltz into office easily or if his defeat of Biden was going to be a little more of a semi-nail biter, but that seems kinda pointless and silly

 

Yeah I wouldn’t even say I was wrong the situation just drastically changed immediately. But I also have no problem saying yeah I miscalculated this situation, it happens, everyone does it. I just hate that smug bullshit and bringing into this thread and seeing it gets likes is….thumbs down

This is a genuine question, does the VP choice actually win anybody over at the end of the day? When it’s time to vote, I feel like people vote for their preferred president and the VP doesn’t really enter the equation.

I could be wrong, it’s just hard for me to imagine many people (even swing voters) who were leaning towards Trump/Harris but changed their vote because of Vance/Kelly or whoever.

 

Walz is too normal so it can't be him.

 

I’ve always felt like VP picks rarely help but i can see picking Shapiro hurting Harris and believe Vance will absolutely hurt Trump.

 

Serious question, what demographic does Elon think that he does represent?

 

They can easily shift a candidate 2-3 percentage points, and that's a lot. A lot of times it's just the difference between a few people staying home or not.

As a Jewish person, Shapiro is an awful pick just because of how much it may kill this youth momentum and I hope they don't do that. The biggest gift would be Biden forcing Netanyahu to end this before November, but it's such a clusterfuck.
