Densetsu No Starfy 3 is one of the best platformers ever made.

 

I'm gonna assume some ghost posted the news about the new additions to the Switch Online library.

Kind of silly that they're putting out the games with no translation, but it's also cool that they're doing it at all, so I guess you gotta take what you can get.

 

FWIW, all 3 games are fully playable without Japanese language comprehension.

 

my switch backlog is pretty huge but ive played some really great games on it only having had it for just over a year and a half. some of the best off the top of my head

super mario 3d world + bowsers fury (worth the replay just for bowsers fury)

 

But how will I follow along with the gripping adventure?

 

While there is a wonderful fan translation for the first game, I’ve always thought this trilogy did a really excellent job using universal visual aids to create understanding for language barriers. Plus, with the soundtrack as wonderful as can be, you can pick up major themes as you go without too much effort. Admittedly, it would be tremendously amazing if we had them truly localized, but like you said, I’ll take what I can get.

Just something I’ve been trying but using the translate option on my phone’s camera has been very educational for me when playing Japanese games. Not ideal and I use it for menu navigation most of the time.
