I mean I want to go, I want to support artists, but when you’re charging $80 it’s very difficult to do that and I think it’s valid for people to have issues with that.

Also people are paying well over $100 for other dates.

  2. ticket prices these days are making it reeeeally hard for me to go to multiple shows a year now, like i typically have always done. feels like i can't go to a decent show for less $50-100 now, and it feels like that happened overnight.

I get it but that’s basically the price nowadays. She’s gotten bigger so likely commands a bigger fee and has more crew, production, supporting musicians, etc.

How big is the venue for that gig? For me I wouldn't pay anything over £55 to see acts in 3,000 to 5,000 capacity venues. I mean The Black Crowes were charging over £80 a ticket on their recent uk tour and I was like nah fuck paying that much to see them in a 3,500 cap venue and the tour was struggling to sell big time then National Concert Week happened and their whole uk tour was on there for £25 so I got one!

  7. I was just looking at some previous Taylor Swift tour prices, and her Red tour in 2014 was £47.50 ($62.27) for a lower bowl ticket.

As someone who goes to San Diego/LA shows and has to buy 2 tickets each time (one for my fiancée) I typically spend $200 just to get in the door these days. A festival is the same cost as like 2-3 shows which is why I skip a lot of artists and wait for them to be at a fest

I live in NYC, most shows that are in 2k and above places are like $75-80. I'm empathetic towards peoples financial constraints but just merely pointing out that seems to be where the market has shifted based on touring costs and demand. I...do...think there is a reckoning to come with arena/shed tours being priced the way they are given we've seen cancellations/soft sales so curious to see how the industry responds.

Crazy thing is in the UK Gracie Abrams is doing VIP packages for the standing area only and the prices r insane.. no golden circle or even normal standing ticket prices.. just VIP and that's it!

Looks like Touche Amore is dropping a new single tonight and has an announcement for tomorrow. Betting it’s a tour

They played Mexico City last Friday and talking with them they mentioned they expect the album to be released in October. The new song they have been playing live is really good!

Someone told me that the San Diego show is selling pretty badly, I was gonna go but the cheapest ticket is 70 bucks for a 1000 cap room that most shows cost like 40 bucks.
