Grammy nom cutoffs are August 31 this year, so I was wondering if that played into anything and we'd have to get it before then. (I could be way wrong, someone correct me if I am).

 

Seee ya in there! Trying to figure out what time to go in. I typically like to go to Game On before any show in that area for drinks, but not sure if that’s wise with this one

At the show on Sunday Mark said it was coming in August.
Considering the Grammy cut off, I'd imagine it'll come mid August so that it is fresh in voters minds.

 

Also don’t be surprised if the deluxe is like the 2 already released bonus songs, an acoustic Edging, and like 1 other song haha

 

Yeah, I'm keeping my expectations WAY low. Would love if they included the alternate version of One More Time but I'm not holding my breath.

PTV: I think he said 7:15 -8
Blink: 8:30

 

I had never listened to PTV at all, and didn't care for their set, BUT their bassist looked like he was as thrilled as one of us would be to be playing on that stage, so that was really funny to watch

 

and then i'm sure it was dramatically downhill from there

 

their bass player is fun to watch, but they weren't good

 

Since I have a seat, I’ll be there for all the bands. I can always just chill on my phone if I’m not down with openers.

 

Haven't they been going on at 9:30 usually? Maybe Fenway is earlier for some reason

 

they went on right at 9 here in SLC a few days ago

 

they’ve gone on at 9 every show on tour but Fenway has an earlier curfew and I called the box office and they said 8:30

 

Damn, I wish my show had an earlier curfew, ha.

 

I keep forgetting about the Grammys. That would make a lot of sense given an October album is pretty harsh when thinking about a consideration. A Grammy nomination and win would be pretty sweet even though the Grammys have been a huge mess. It would be WILD if they got one for California and not OMT. They deserve one and Rock and Roll Hall of fame feels very appropriate in this era of the band, especially for Travis’s massive musical cultural impact for decades at this point.

Perfect time to grab merch and a drink. The crowd was way more responsive than I thought they would be. I caught the last couple of songs meeting up with friends and it was enough for me to be all “okay I get it, but this still isn’t my thing as a dude in his 30’s that missed their come up”

 

Revisiting this interview this morning. It's a bit dry and slow, but has a lot of cool info. I'd suggest playing it at 1.25 speed... haha

I prepaid for parking for tomorrow so I'm hoping I'll be good to show up a little after 8 and miss most of PTV. Means I'll likely be buying the limited poster on eBay though..

 

Go for the merch tables on the upper levels. I was late getting in door, but went right upstairs and snagged one with plenty to spare at the table I went to.

 

I'll be totally happy if it's even just like 6 songs.

"Cut Me Off", "See You", maybe two more b-sides from the original album sessions (since there were song titles like "Here We Go" and "Brain Candy" floating around). Then "Can't Go Back" and hopefully another brand new track that they just wrote.

 

Meh. I like it for the sake of saying Fenway and blink-182 but don’t care for the robot bunny and also why not make it look like 10% Fenway lol
