Played on Gilga Radio when the album was announced. I think it's a perfect final Gambino song and I really wish he used it as the closer

Listening now. Much more varied than I was expecting, but enjoying it more than I thought I would. Haven't really been excited about a CG album in a long time, so my expectations were kinda low, but still. Enjoyable and unexpected.

Also need to go back to Atavista/listen to the new version. Don't remember a thing about it.

Oh yeah this absolutely should’ve been on the record but I can understand why the album closed out the way it did

On track to debut at #15 with 35k activity.

Criminally low debut for this album. I really wish they had the physical albums ready to ship, or that they tried pushing one of the many radio ready songs as a single.

Something tells me Gambino doesn’t care much about that side of stuff. Music is more like a side quest at this point.

Pitchfork is famously harsh on him, their Camp review was insane

    I'm really loving this album

Really digging this album more and more with each listen. Going to the beach this weekend and I feel like it will be a perfect jam for it - especially steps beach, no excuses, and happy survival

  18. I kind of agree with the reviewer's sentiment even if I think the score should be higher. Feels like they're reluctant to give him his flowers, even if he'll never completely shed the corniness he started his career with

Honestly a pretty good write-up though. I would agree with some of the points though I did enjoy most of the album

He’s honestly still corny to me, music wise. I’m glad a lot of you are digging this but I doubt I’ll come back to it.

  21. Yeah, like I said, I don't think he ever fully shed it, but I do think he improved as a musical artist with time

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

the corniness is a feature not a bug

Finally got around to this today and I dunno guys, it's pretty fucking good. A few tracks that didn't quite work for me on first listen, but a LOT that are excellent. Already my favorite album from him since BTI at least

I don’t celebrate the full catalog so i get the criticisms of the review that are about how it’s hard to tell which side of Gambino is the real one.

That said, the sides that I enjoy I enjoy A LOT
