We all know Penlab needs a change of pace after all. So I’m out. Haha

 

It’s okay I’m happy you’re coming out of the shadows. I’m of the opinion that disliking music sucks, I’d rather love everything I hear. No benefit to disliking a song. So even if Jen ain’t my thing, happy to see people actually do like the song after all these years of seeing nothing but bad on it. Haha

 

But for real though, we need a new b-sides collection. I know a lot of them are attached to the ends of Deluxe albums on streaming services already, but it would be really cool to have an "album" with songs like Be Sensible, Open Bar Reception, When I Want, etc. Could even make it a physical release with the singles from the last few years included. Take my money.

 

I keep hoping bands like Jimmy will receive the super ultra deluxe box set treatment older legacy bands get…give me outtake #4 of Kill and other things I never knew existed.

 

Be Sensible is a top 5 Jimmy song for me. Most of their b-sides are way too good to be b-sides.

 

I like "Jen" a lot. It should have been on the Futures deluxe.

Fun song! I liked it on first listen, just a fun pop song. Don't think it belongs on Futures but could see it on Chase This Light, though I know it's from the Futures sessions.

 

Would actually love a Futures-era to present day 20-year b-sides/singles collection from them.

If I could get “Open Bar Reception” on wax I might levitate.

They dropped two incredible songs. Then went on tour.

Be Sensible is completely awesome.

 

Is there an actual high quality version of Open Bar Reception anywhere? All the versions I've ever heard don't have the best quality compared to the other songs from that era. Love the song though.
