I do agree though. Pavement rules and it’s a big deal they’re playing imo. Especially since it seemed like they were done after last year

    Regular

I was directing that more at Beck than Pavement if that makes anyone feel better.

I don't know any other ways they could have done the shuttle (okay sure they could have made them free and more frequently), but paying for a specific time slot kinda sucks because then you are absolutely locked in to go to the fest at that time, whereas at Douglass with the CTA and buses just coming regularly, you could change when you head to the fest based on whatever (how you are feeling, if something comes up last minute, if you actually want to get there earlier than planned, etc.)

  5. Yeah, I think our plan is to Uber to the fest and use shuttles to get home so we’re not locked into a specific time.

And the thing that sucks about the shuttles going home is that you might be waiting on one for some time before it’s full.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

I was pretty dead set on not going this year, but tbh, after hearing about the shuttle service I'm really tempted to do Fri/Sat now. I'd love to see Slayer and Something Corporate, but it's not enough for me to do Sunday. Now I need to make some decisions.

Riot as a whole this year is a fever dream. It’s not real. We’re all imagining it

It worked well on my phone but I couldn't really zoom in or out in Chrome

The new map is quite literally the same thing as before just a slightly different format. No new info, really.

Knuckle Puck are big enough to play The Salt Shed?

  17. Nate and I were talking about it at Sad Summer, and I think it'll be a five or six band bill with a direct support that has a big draw of their own (Drain was my spitball guess).

Bring in some of the locals, if this is a one-off it'll sell well enough.

Probably a stupid question but do the shuttles have some way to go so they are not stuck in traffic going in and out of the event?

It’s the best venue in the city imo, unless you downscale quite a bit to something like Lincoln Hall

16OC has the two best venues in the city - Thalia Hall and Salt Shed.

Throw in Empty Bottle as well, they really are the top hospitality group.
