Chapter 14 of xenoblade chronicles. I will say not every zone of this game has been a winner which makes sense because it’s a Wii era game with a switch coat of a paint but man these late game Mechonis zones are really something. Very imposing structures which makes sense lore wise. Really love it.

 

Need to play more Tales games

 

No idea what ZZZ is but I downloaded it

 

Same I’ve only played arise but I own symphonia, zesitira and vesperia

 

Symphonia is fantastic and a classic. Berseria is probably my most favorite, tied with Vesperia. Xillia is very very good and I can't wait to play it remastered. It's sequel is.....okay. Arise was also....just ok. Graces F (stuck on the PS3) has hands down the best Tales battle system imo.


Zesteria is just plain bad. HOWEVER, Berseria is a prequel so having played Zesty before (as it came out first) really added to its story.

Arise is amazing

I saw "roguelite" and got interested. Is this any good?

 

Girlfriend’s 75 year old mom played her first ever video games last night. Started with Mount Your Friends 3D which she did not get (lmao), but seemed to love Heave Ho, haha.

 

The fact that ZZZ is free and looks the way it does blows my mind. Need to get back into it today, but I was focused on finishing the Multiversus battle pass.

 

Its very good, there are random generated elements to the game but i'm hesitant to call it a rogue. It's free too, can't beat free.

 

Arise is awesome until about the last 5-10 hours which are absolute dog shit

 

First half of Arise is great, second half falls of a cliff

 

I think it was Arise's battles that made me sour on it. HP sponge bosses are just wack. As the first truly next gen Tales, I was even impressed with the PS4 version. You could tell the difference between late gen PS4 with Arise compared to Zesty which launched super early in the console's lifespan. I enjoyed the cast and story but the battle system....just nah. And that's a super integral piece to Tales games since a majority of the game is spent battling.

But that's just imo lol. Either way, I have high hopes for the next mainline Tales!

Yeah I wouldn't call it a roguelite....it's got elements of it but at its heart it's an action game like Bayonetta/DMC with other elements sprinkled in.

But it's free so no harm in checking it out!

 

Man there are some MAJOR HP sponge bosses in Arise, i forgot about that.

 

If Tales games are anything, they're supposed to be FUN. Those bosses are just frustrating lol.

 

Oh yeah I played the whole game on easy because of the bad boss fights

 

I don’t buy new games often, but Nobody Wants to Die looks cool. Short point and click adventure game that looks gorgeous for a good price.

 

Yeah the halfway mark starts to show some wear but man once it turns into a full on sci fi story I completely checked out
