In a few weeks I'll probably check in on the operationsports forum and see if there are any good slider/rulesets, that was my go to place for NCAAF14 and trying to get semi-realistic game results

After Haynes king started the 2025 season 0-3 I won the starting job and went 13-0 from there and won the national title and I’m starting 2026 with a fucking position battle???

The recruiting system feels much more fleshed out than 14 did

the sim logic seems very bad so far

i shouldn’t have to worry about losing to a team that’s 1-10 and ten points in ratings below me when im a team going into the playoffs lol

I started as a OC in dynasty mode and they also got rid of super simming the defensive side of the ball, don't love that

I mean I can manually do it I assume but that's kinda tedious when it used to default just to your side of the ball exclusively.

I certainly went back and looked at the league settings for the dynasty and didn't see any toggles

Maybe I’m bad at internetting but I can’t find any reviews/info on the game so far. Overall how is it? 99% of the time I would focus on building up a shit school into a powerhouse, like most do, so mostly curious how good/bad that is with recruiting, menus, load times, etc.

I still largely think the Frostbite engine is a miss on sports games, but this is definitely the best feeling football game EA has put out on it. Though I do find it much more difficult to user defense now, but that could just be rust.

Getting through the menus (especially in Ultimate Team), and the load times can be painfully slow for a 2024 game on a SSD which is a bummer.

I will also tack on even in a post NIL world where an Ultimate Team mode for College makes some level of sense, the one in 25 as of this moment feels especially odd seeing real player names combined with generic character models on the cards, 14's implementation was a lot better. (I also don't like the general art direction of the menus and cards themselves but that's a more minor gripe).

Still a relatively small concern because I'll probably only dive into that mode when my favorite WVU players are available.

How they've tweaked recruiting and pipeline status in Dynasty mode seems potentially promising but I haven't gotten to explore it much yet.

The slow ass menus have been an issue for like the last 5-6 versions of the game before the hiatus I feel like. How haven’t they gotten those improved?

For me, there was nothing worse than waiting for a loading screen in Madden/NCAA that took so long that I had time to realize how long I had been sitting on the couch/floor eating and drinking like shit and playing the game that it got super dark and depressing.

And then the wait would be over and is temporarily happy again and enjoy the game and then idk 30-45 minutes later when the damn load to the next week or whatever would start the cycle would repeat lol

Anyone have any good college football podcast recs? I listen to Solid Verbal and the free episodes of Split Zone Duo and I like them both, but wondering if there are any other good ones out there.
