An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I fell asleep whoops. okay episode imo, not really different enough from the other flashback episode to justify reusing so many scenes over again - it didn't really feel surprising or shocking how it went down so I was just slightly bored tbh. that said a Wookie Jedi possessed by a Force witch throwing down was worth the whole thing

Manny Jacinto's performance, the fight choreography, and some of the interesting subject matter/lore they're working with are really what is carrying this show for me. If it wasn't for those three things I might be given up on this.

I just looked it up. I guess it wasn't official and it all comes from Collider's chief film reporter saying on a podcast back in April that Harewood has "a small role" in the show.

He is still listed as a castmember in the show's wiki, but not on IMDB.

the possession also explains a lot as to why he kept drawing the symbol on the walls of his hideout

Just finished episode 5 so not looking at other posts, but I'm really enjoying this. Not sure what the general consensus is, but I'm having a lot of fun. It's kind of cool to me to learn about the witches and stuff and how other force sensitive people live. Idk feels fresh to me. I'm definitely enjoying it more than Boba Fett and Ahsoka and probably even Obi Wan. About on par with the Mandalorian. Obviously doesn't come close to Andor, but I'm actually excited to keep watching which is more than I can say for some of these shows.

Caught up on this and really enjoying it. Already knew the episode 5 reveal from Twitter but it still rocked.

Digging the sort of take of Jedi as Christian missionaries forcing assimilation

Just got all caught up. The big fight scene episode was fantastic. Definitely gonna be returning to that one a bunch. I loved the ending shot of this last episode of OSHA’s perspective in the helmet with all of the sensory deprivation.

I really like this perspective on the Jedi. I wasn’t surprised at all to see Jen Richards wrote this episode. I’m not a huge Star Wars person so I genuinely don’t know if this lens has been used before, but I think the colonialist lens is super interesting. For me, the less and less the Jedi look like the perfect heroes, the more interesting the Star Wars world becomes

Don’t think I saw it mentioned but Qimir holding an inactive lightsaber up to someone’s temple like a gun in episode 5 rocked

I really like the stranger and some of the broader themes about motherhood / purpose in this show, but last week fell super flat for me. I am struggling to see how they are going to wrap it up on a note that makes the show feel vital. I wish it would have been what it was pitched as which was a murdery mystery focused on the sith. It has mostly been a meandering plot about Jedi mistakes that weren’t satisfying and haven’t given any new contextual meaning that earn the spot of a new Star Wars story for me. I hope the twins have a big face off and we get a sith master appearance.

Honestly right now I am not buying Headland's "I made this to be a self contained story that could work as standalone": thing at all. Way too many open threads they're not going to be able to conclude in 1 more episode.

I remain optimistic if the story becomes about the sith of this era with the twins being our POV characters. This season was inconsistent but good enough for me to be excited if it keeps going.

Unless like this ends with everyone dead expect one of the twins and the other Sith lord they're gonna introduce, and it opens up an entirely new story if they make another season

I am pulling for that, but feel like it was a wasted season of setup to get there. I’ll freak if we get intro’s of the sith from legends that should be sneaking around in this era. The stranger is rad and I would love if he survives with a bigger purpose moving forward. Probably the most compelling part of this season.

Still waiting for "the lightsaber design that is crazier than the lightsaber whip that the props department didn't even know if it could be possible to make" that Headland mentioned

Is it established anywhere how quickly a new Sith master attempts to get an apprentice after killing their master? Like, if Plageus killed his master how long could he have been auditioning apprentices before settling on Palpy

I believe that it’s pretty situational. Often the apprentices will have their own acolytes that they are training at the same time they are plotting to kill their master. Such as Dooku with Ventress.

Osha outright saying Qimir fights like her mom was a dead giveaway

My bet is Qimir is trying to recruit one of Koril's daughters as his acolyte as revenge for replacing him.
