I remember it took over 40 minutes for IAVN to start.

That’s fucking absurd. I truly think 15 min is the sweet spot. I can tolerate up to 25-ish at other theaters. Almost half the length of the film you’re seeing though? Fuck that.

  3. i think 30 minutes at AMC is pretty standard, but that's counting the pre-trailers, the post-trailers, and Nicole Kidman.

Paragon here always starts on time and has 3-4 trailers max. The Regal theater often starts 10-15 minutes late with about 4-6 trailers

Usually get about 20-30mins of trailers/ads at my theater.

  9. I guess I’m weird because I have always liked watching movie trailers before the movie haha

I don't mind like 5-10mins but then i get annoyed beyond that because it's like 99% trailers we've all seen anyway.

The last 2 times I went to the theater I timed it so I arrived right when the movie started. It was definitely very lucky. I'm not a big trailer guy. I like to be surprised. I haven't watched one trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine or Longlegs and I'm looking forward to those these next couple weeks.

I always skip them too. Not that I won’t ever watch trailers but I generally go in as blind as possible. There’s been a handful of recent movies where I haven’t seen any footage beforehand and it rules.

My theater has around 20 minutes of ads and trailers so I’ll usually pull into that theater about 10 minutes into them and get my ticket so I can sit in the best area away from people. I’m kind of weird about the whole thing but I’m generally by myself so I’m definitely pickier about where I sit.

I loved Longlegs. Had some issues with the end but thought it was pretty great

    Spoiler alert obviously

  16. underrated!!

love Paul, but yeah, this is a terrible take

  17. Thought Longlegs was gorgeous, aesthetically very cool and effectively creepy, but I think Perkins is a much better director than writer. Had some issue with the writing/dialogue, but I appreciate what the film goes for and think a rewatch might make it work better as a whole for me. Cage really is great.

MaXXXine, on the other hand, whipped ass. Just a total blast front to back. I can understand some disappointment in it closing out a trilogy, but as a standalone film, it's just so fun. Shocked people are calling that one "unfocused" or "Ti West trying to do too much" when it's obviously capital-B Bonkers from the get-go. Trying to do too much is kind of the main issue I had with Longlegs, lol.

also, trailer standards for Cinemark are almost always 25 minutes, occasionally 20.

I don’t think I can bring myself to watch a movie with Jojo Siwa in it and I’ve watched a lot of garbage. Lol
