I remember seeing Third Eye Blind after Vanessa Carlton broke up with him. Stephen had a couch on stage where he sat and talked a lot about the breakup. He kept saying he fucked up. He just kept talking and talking and talking. They even played Vanessa Carlton's music in between bands too. So awkward and it took away from the show. He had a top hat he was really into too.

Chicago started with 119.99 for pit, it's now 89.99 and there was a 20% promotion during 4th of July that brought it to like 71 something before taxes (71 including TM fees)

I saw them a couple weeks ago and didn’t feel like he talked too much… shrug

 

it’s probably a show by show thing, cause I saw dates early in the tour that had 9:10-10:40 at the set time, but last night they played til 11:00 and it’s the same set list

 

I don’t think he talked much in Cleveland either but we didn’t get Losing A Whole Year or God Of Wine and Pittsburgh did so I am mad at them for that

 

When I saw 3EB with Dashboard a number of years ago, he was weird as fuck the entire set. He spent the entire first song crouching down hiding behind the drummer

 

I saw 3EB at the Ventura County Fair 8 years back. It was a great show but I recall he spent a good chunk of their set bragging about the show they were set to play the next day at Outside Lands.

He was like “yeah, we’re gonna have a full orchestra and everything. This is like a basement show compared to what we’re gonna do tomorrow!”

I thought it was strange…

He played Pandora when I worked there for an acoustic set; he rambled about how he took an Ambien to sleep because he was just in Australia surfing and wanted to sleep on the flight. This went on for a good 5-6 minutes, he played 3 1/2 songs (none of them were 3EB singles), and walked off to sit on his phone in a conference room.
