Dude I was in a rush to go to my practice space and load up my gear for my show Wednesday

I bought the weed from my favorite dispensary and went next door to grab coffee real quick, left the bag at the coffee shop

I realize it when I get to my practice space and I try to call them before they close (it was 4:52 and they closed at 5) but they don’t have a fucking business phone number listed anywhere? The one on their website doesn’t work, the one on their IG goes to the law office next door etc. So I call the dispensary to see if anyone there can run over and check on it.

they confirm it’s there but the letter of the law states they could get shut down if they take back what they sold. (sucks cause one of the employees later told me they couldve just kept it in their car and not brought it back into the store if they were the ones who answered the phone) so I ask them to tell the coffee shop to hold onto it until tomorrow. Wouldve just came right back and picked it up on the way to the venue if the coffee shop wasn’t closing.

apparently that closing barista did leave it for the next morning’s manager and left a note that I’d pick it up. But the dumbass manager either has no brain cells or they stole it and lied to my face. They claim they “didn’t have anywhere to put it” (there’s two employee only areas, shelves behind the counter with nothing on them, etc) and LEFT IT ON THE ESPRESSO MACHINE thinking whoever took it, it’s probably theirs.

I know I’m the idiot who left it behind but I wanted to go nuclear on the TOTAL MORON who doesn’t think to put my bag behind the counter so no one fucking steals it???? I like 70% don’t believe that story at all and think she just took $80 of weed for free but what can I do? The situation allows them plausible deniability because it’s not their responsibility to look after my shit. But if you or the dispensary employee cared even a little bit about my shitty situation and applied even 1% of your brains to it, I’d have gotten my weed back easy.

Im broke as fuck losing $100 is a big deal. I wouldn’t take a $100 bill out of my wallet and light it on fire and shrug my shoulders. That shit sucked. I wish I made the kind of money to just “move on” but that noticeably affects what I can and can’t do until my next paycheck

My first time back at Ottobar since moving back to Baltimore, an employee saw me trying to hide my weed and he was like dude no one here cares, we literally put weed stuff back if we search your bag and find it, you can smoke that shit out front lmao

Idk if a casual smoker who wasn’t a huge pothead before legalization will relate to or understand this, but the cartridges that go into vape pens don’t give you the same high as straight flower or loose concentrates do
