I designed a shirt for my daughter to wear to Lolla since the blink-merch game hasn't moved the needle for me in a while... thought you all would appreciate

I had a couple ???'s about the SLC show though...

1- I wonder why the stage didn't rotate. Although I was not complaining about a good view the whole time.

2- Did you notice how the "I Fucked Your Mom Shirt" wasn't at any of the merch booths?
At least the ones I went to. I wonder if uppity ass Utah was like "absolutely not..." haha!

I have been keeping up with the Landon Barker. Tall order to have never performed live and some of your first shows are arena openers. He seems to be growing into himself as a person and musician. His shows and interviews are way better than where they were a year or so ago. For how bad and derivative it could be, he’s doing pretty great at making his way through being famous. Also all of his stuff is produced by Kevin Thrasher so it makes sense to me it is pretty much an MGK tickets clone. I am sure he will keep pushing his sound over the next couple of years. It does bug me when these newer artists have a track of the vocals playing and sing when they feel like it. I love Kenny Hoopla, but he also does that and it’s a bummer to see.

Was the show loud as shit indoors? Denver was unbelievable loud.

For a loud punk show I am pro indoors from here on out. For an indie band, or casual shows outdoors in the summer is awesome, but this show vs. seeing them at Petco Park in San Diego a few years back is two seriously different experiences.

  11. 1. Yeah it was weird that the stage didn't rotate. Before Blink's set started, it did rotate. But during their set, nothing.
    2. The "I fucked your mom" shirt was definitely in the merch truck outside on the corner of the street in front of the venue. I saw it in there.

If anyone is attending the Fenway show and wants to upgrade their tickets, or still hasn't purchased, they just killed off the VIP packages, which means all those seats/pit tickets will be dumped in the regular pool within the next few days.

Decided to say “fuck it” and bought a second row seat for my show. Hopefully I can sell my other ticket that was much further back. If not, YOLO.

I love that they have songs in the can for a deluxe but my expectations are so low that it will actually be released next month. They love announcing a release and then taking many months to actually put it out.

Brad, was it a struggle to get up close? Or were there a lot of early entry people?

I've noticed this trend with a lot of big ticket shows. VIP packages are ditched last minute and they just sell tickets for standard amount.

Once again, Live Nation punishing the diehard fans who buy tickets early/when they go on sale. Won't make this mistake again..

  20. paranoid ass me will still just buy my ticket so my anxiety about not getting to go doesn't eat me

    Things have changed.

    From Mark:

"yesterday the rotating system for the stage broke so we were stationary. i picked up my mic and moved it around the stage. tom has his whole mission control at his feet so he can't."

  22. I got in like 3 hours before doors, so it wasn't hard for me to get up close, even going pee before going down to the pit haha. But like I said before too, the pit section is really small regardless. So I think even if you were at the very back of the pit section, you'd still only be like 15 rows back at most, I'd say. I was shocked at how small that section was. But I will say to try and get between Mark and Tom's side, rather than a side of the stage or the back because they didn't go back there a ton.

  23. lastnight Mark said "this is a new song that's going to be on the deluxe album" but didn't give any more info than that. apparently at another show though Mark or Travis said "August."

Can't speak for the stadium setup but I went in Brooklyn last year and I was out and about getting drinks/bathroom in between all acts. Pit section was so small it's basically like a photo pit so I had a good view.

Front of the pit is WAY smaller this year, looks like. They really need to push the stage back.
