i'll give him credit that he's much better than his son, who put on the most bland performance in The Mandalorian. maybe i just haven't seen him in enough stuff (judging by his filmography, i've seen him in 5 movies and that show The Watcher). he's not a bad actor, but his acting doesn't really do anything for me, and he was a bit annoying in MaXXXine.

Love Bobby but maybe he needs a better agent. He's in a lot of crap

First thing I ever saw him in was The Station Agent which he’s great in and is a great film. Highly recommended.

He was fine in this. I thought Halsey was actively terrible.

i actually really liked Halsey's brief time on screen here. can't say the same for the companion film she did for her last album.

Saw this yesterday, thought it was solid. Third act was pretty weak though

I thought this was fun, though clearly the weakest of the three films. I like that they're all pretty unique despite sharing the same general DNA.

I rewatched X in preparation and still just really love how it feels like a gritty homage to that '70s era voyeuristic slasher.

Yeahhhhh buddy. Its 100 degrees outside, I'm off, wife is working..... I decided to go for afternoon matinee. Obviously not a single person here. Let's do this.

(I miss going to the movies. Gotta try going more often)

Pretty good, not bad. Obviously not as great as Pearl (which legit is a top 5 movie of the decade at this point).

Style is on point. Ti West deserves to make any and every movie he wants forever. He's obviously a world class director. Mia Goth has also reached legend status....the movie and the series is all her.

But! I gotta agree with the general consensus of the reviews. A lot of style and not much in terms of story, substance, and maybe trying to do too much at once. Kevin Bacon felt unnecessary. Halsey being cast in this felt like a forced hollywood move, her ONE LINE was awful lol

    A solid 7/10 though.

The current one. I didn't want to be hyperbolic and say its one of my all time favorites, although I really did love it, but I can say Pearl is in my present top 5 of this current decade without a doubt.

I thought Pearl was truly one of the most unique, enjoyable movies I've seen in a long time. Different setting, different time period, and a great blend of humor, horror and overall dread. They did "theres something wrong with this girl" and her getting more and more unglued due to the people around her and circumstances....legitimately great.

it's fucked up if true, but is anything here new information other than A24's and Mia's comments? they should all definitely be held accountable regardless
