when did you have it in the winter? If it was before January it was probably XBB, if it was after it coulda been JN.1 which the antibodies for that would be a very close match to what’s circulating now

I had it in mid-late January this year so that makes sense why it's more mild for me this time around

yeah if I understand what people have said about it right, the dominant variants right now are K.2 and K.3 which mutated from JN.1, and I think they said the name literally means they have 2 and 3 mutations in the spike protein different from JN.1. A lot of people seem to think JN.1 antibodies would actually be good enough to PREVENT infection with K.2 and K.3 BUT with the caveat that only one JN.1 exposure wouldn’t be enough to prime all your antibodies for it due to imprinting from previous vaccines and exposures. In other words, your JN.1 infection in January wasn’t enough to get your body pumping out pure JN.1 antibodies, since it probably saw the virus and recognized it and started pumping out the XBB from the vaccine or other previous strain antibodies first.
I’ve seen SOME people say because of that, getting two doses of the latest vaccine when it comes out is a good idea, but obviously not medical advice and I haven’t seen too many mainstream people advocate for that any more than a throwaway thought
