(I miss the days when a Kanye release was hype and actually a fun time. It feels like he’s been quiet for a while now and if he had been quiet over the last couple years and just dropping music…we all would be much more happier and interested to listen to new music from him, but alas.)

I am going to give it a once through. I jammed the first two this morning. If I was able to forget everything about Kanye for the last 3-5 years, I’d think Time Moving Slow is good. I heard it and was like “oh no, I don’t want to like this!” Lol

I thought this would be much more unfinished sounding based on the reactions I'm hearing, I was expecting nearly all mumble Kanye verses like Donda 2 but it's a little more put together than that (definitely some still) not sure what to think after one listen.. but it's still above Jesus Is King and Donda 2 for me for sure haha

 

Given his recent history, even if he dropped MBDTF level shit, no way it’s hitting top 5

 

he had a #1 hit this calendar year

I could be very wrong, but I feel like this will do way worse that the first album if not solely because barely anyone even knew it came out. I still can't believe the first one did as well as it did though

 

lmao there's like one and a half decent songs on this, and the half has kanye doing a fucking ai verse. i thought donda 2 was bad but yeeeeeeeesh

 

Have not found any reviews of this yet and that's a good thing. I hope Pitchfork doesn't cover it, but I'm assuming they will.

Maybe worth noting that I don't think he says anything controversial on here, which may correlate with the lack of reaction. But hopefully people have just accepted that he's washed and are done giving him the time of day

 

I haven’t heard a single person talk about it, not even weirdos on social media. If it wasn’t for this forum, I wouldn’t even know it existed.

 

No one in either of my group chats has mentioned it and most people were big fans until 2018. We have definitely discussed everything that's happened with him since then. It seems like this is hardly making a dent outside of hardcore fans.
