Today was a good day. I found out that Autumn, the blind and FIV+ cat who just had dental surgery, was adopted from Kitty Corner, where I volunteer.

plus…I adopted a new kitty myself!!!

I think the aforementioned Autumn is going to a good home as well. I’m thrilled for her!

I volunteer half the week at a cafe, have been for about 3 months I love it so much. The place just opened 3 months ago and we have had 22 adoptions. This is the latest, Lavender. She is the SWEETEST most perfect cat. She would greet me like this every time. I’ll miss her.

 

I started at Kitty Corner in February. That’s so exciting you’re doing something similar.

I was volunteering at a shelter inside a petsmart for a while but it was just once a week and not very involved, this cafe is literally right down the street from me and I am much more involved it's been great.

 

Is anyone else's cat a super smart, stubborn ass hole at times? When my cat wants to be fed, she purposely chews on plastic bags and knocks lamps and jewelry off surfaces because she knows it pisses us off and gets us to stand up. Can't lock her out of the room or she will start clawing up the carpet against the door

I’ve been gone for about a week on vacation. She was literally crying for attention last night when I was trying to sleep.

 

yes my cat is a menace about food and water. He only drinks out of the faucet so he will stare and yell at me until I turn it on so he can drink.

 

Hahaha I had a cat growing up who did the same thing!

 

My cat turned me into super Mario this morning apparently

 

My wife and some coworkers rescued this girl out of their parking lot this morning. Her manager paid for them to take her to the vet and get her checked out/cleaned up.

She had a nasty wound on her foot with fucking maggots in it and was literally covered in fly shit. One of the girls there is going to take her home at the end of the day but right now they have her wrapped up in some warm towels in their office sleeping.

I just want to kiss her dumb little head a million times lol and also beat the shit out of whoever dumped her out.

Drove 20 straight hours from Florida to get my cat up to NJ yesterday. I was so scared of what could happen but she was so amazing the whole trip it could not hace gone better. Shes under my bed so weirded out rn but i expected that l, i’m so happy I have her again

 

I’m so happy they get along now
