I enjoy both. I do miss his Lifetime impression though.

Which is better, Hello Bastards or Jersey's Best Dancers?

Sonically they're both the same to me. Both records are pretty good examples of what Lifetime did (raw catchy punk). Neutral Territory is on Hello Bastards and that's awesome. Unpopular opinion says listen to the self titled, but I like that album so to each their own.

Anyways, bands like Taking Back Sunday and Saves The Day worshipped Lifetime. Adam used to belt just like that guy, but that was back in the day when his voice could

I think if I was selling under 10k units first week, I personally would be selling freakin' door to door. I feel like older bands like this lose their hustle.

I've honestly only ever heard Jersey's Best Dancers all the way through, but last night I read Ari rank his Lifetime albums and he put HB as number one. So I downloaded HB and self titled to listen to today.

This seems silly. What do you want them to do? They're touring. In fact they're playing the whole album on tour. They've done videos, in studio sessions, a live stream of a show, interviews. Not their fault people don't buy records and Hopeless can't figure out how to promote legacy acts.

This might be a top three TBS album for me. Really love "All Excess."

I guess that's true. It's stems more from me wishing they had sold more, rather than me thinking they are lazy.

Yeah it's a bummer when an album this good isn't getting recognized.

Hey, I was randomly browsing youtube vids and came across this really cool and unique take on "A Decade Under The Influence". I only wish it was longer.

    The title track

So what’s gonna happen when the old man goes
Will you embrace chaos or take control
When the guns are drawn outside your door
Will you call for peace or will you join the war

What you gonna do when the law breaks in
Will you stand your ground or confess your sins

Can you buy back any of the soul you sold
When your will is weak and the weight is strong
Where will you go when you can't go on

    and "Fences"

Is there always enough strength for the next step?
Is there always a way back from your regrets?
I want to hear you say, it'll be okay
I want to hear you say, it's not too late

will be getting lots of plays in the next few days.

I was wondering if Fences was intended to be political, well I guess it probably is but yeah

i don't think any of that is intended to be political and always felt it to be a good companion to the JEW trope of "adult breakup album"

I honestly never took it as political before, but it seems obvious to me that it is now. It could totally not be but lines like

    Borders drawn in blood
I saw nothing but rain for days
Still I, I wasn't ready for the flood

    and

I would walk down that road while it crumbled into dust
I put my faith in a violent man
He was the only one that I could trust

    Seem blatantly political.

Adam mentioned that parts of "Tidal Wave" were political but also had other meanings. I could see the same applying to "Fences". Parts of it may be influenced by politics but it also seems to have a larger theme.
