Welp I’ve started the absolutely abysmal job search.

I wasn’t laid off today but it is very clear they’re replacing all of us with Costa Rica, so I’d rather just try to find a job now before it’s too late

 

Yeah, probably for the best to get going. Better to still collect a paycheck while you're hunting at least.

 

Exactly! Even though I was “safe” this round, all that tells me is have just a little bit longer than others to find a different job while being paid still.

They legit cut 90% of our US based team and are now going on a Costa Rica hiring spree

I’m a trainer for our customer service team. Which kinda looking through indeed quickly feels like it’ll be hard to find something similar externally.

So I think I need to spend some time figuring out what direction I wanna go in. Like do I just go take my MTELS lol

Projected low for Mesa when I'm staying there is 90. There just ain't no god damn way it's that cheap to live there.

LinkedIn is where I've been applying. All the sites have the same postings anyway lol

 

If this job existed I bet I could have supported a family of 5 part time in the 1970’s doing it

I've been watching my air conditioned office gradually lose it's grip on the heat. We're up to 79 deg in here now.

I left work early because it was 80 degrees in my office and the sun beats down on it. If I closed my door I’d probably die.

I enjoy posting. I also enjoy not posting and enjoying life. Very fair and simple balance. Built very different though.

 

Sometimes I post, sometimes I don’t

 

I spend more time catching up in here than doing any actual posting. Which is fine. I'm like a thread double-checker.
