Any Acapulco fans here on Apple+? Loved season 1 and 2 and I know season 3 started. Looking forward to watching it once it ends and I resign up for it. Fun quick show.

again, i hate mergers but i'm glad it's Skydance and not someone else. my one hope is that they use the extra capital and technological expertise to fix/rebuild their shitty app.

 

Just saw the preview for the new season of Industry that starts August 11th and I’m hyped as shit. Didn’t think there would be a third season and actually just started a rewatch of it. Very cool and totally unexpected that it’s coming back.

 

All caught up on Presumed Innocent.

I'm two episodes into Shogun and three into Difficult People and I think I'm going to quit both. I know Shogun is good but I just can't get myself to care enough about the power dynamics and who's who to buy into the drama, I do like the other storyline following the English guy however. Difficult People feels like a good show concept and good characters not the writing just isn't quite there, or maybe the shooting style, something feels like 70% of the way there

 

I felt that way about Difficult People and also never finished it. Have always kinda thought I’d give it another chance sometime though. Last I tried was nearly a decade ago

 

i'd say that S1 of Difficult People is probably the weakest from what i remember. the humor has always come across as somewhat niche and the structure somewhat repetitive in a way that feels eerily similar to early seasons of IASIP. while i enjoyed it, i know that it's not for everyone, and other shows have definitely done it better. i will give it credit for turning me into an Andrea Martin fan, because everything i've seen her in has been fantastic.

 

I don't remember how Apple TV airs their episodes. Is the next episode of Presumed Innocent on tonight at 9? Tonight at midnight? Or tomorrow at 9?

 

Steve. Shogun was one of if not the best show so far in ‘24. Stop showing your ass and power through a little bit more.

Yeah I got through about 3 episodes before giving up on it as well. Will probably return to it at some point
