If you have never listened to Chasers, their new album Small Victories came out last week. I had never listened to them before, but it's some of the very best punk rock I have heard in a VERY long time. Fucking insanely good!

 

Just Zach for me

 

Chaser is pretty mid for me. I was glad to come across them last week but as I played through the album, the vocals are really lacking. He needs a higher register, because the songs just kind of feel like they lack much dynamic range. Music is pretty cool though.

 

I actually checked this out last week and really enjoyed it! Got several spins from me

Today is a KILLER black metal day

• Akhlys — incredible black metal with some melody. Be wary of buying anything from this dude though. He follows alt-right people on his socials and his previous band had a song titled “For Blood and Soil”

• Liminal Shroud — Huge, epic Canadian atmo-black.

• Vimur — twisty, turn-y, kinda prog-y black metal

• Limbes — advant-garde French atmo-black

• Wormed — incredible space themed tech-death

• Visions of Atlantis — pirate themed power metal

• Vulvodynia — South African deathcore that will punch you into the ground

 

Nice! Their previous album Dreamers is also top notch, as well as their older stuff. I highly recommend a deep dive!
