i saw my friends cover band last night and they busted out I'm not okay and teenagers, always a fun time!

 

Damn - I remember buying Bullets at a hot topic on a whim when I was in high school. I used to blindly buy CDs all the time in HS without ever hearing the band (pre-internet, essentially) based on the stickers that said something like “sounds like (insert band here).

 

I feel like there's a certain hunger in the songs from 3 Cheers that isn't there on the later releases. But they for sure improved as songwriters.

 

Um... so we've somehow almost reached the point where they've been back together as long as they were broken up...

October will mark 5 years since the reunion announcement and they were broken up for 6 years. Idk why this just fucked me up

 

I'll admit that it being 5 years since the reunion announcement is indeed insane

I think COVID really fucked with most of their reunion plans.

Having said that, still a pretty bizarre reunion. Thought for sure back in 2019 we would eventually get a new album or at the very least, more touring.

 

I bet they tour again soon-ish. Wouldn't surprise me if WWWY led into something else, maybe not Black Parade related but something nonetheless.

 

Their lives are so different from when they were releasing an album every 2-3 years. So is the music industry. COVID has made delays for a bunch of my favorite bands but I love MCR more than probably all of them so I’m willing to wait and tbh the single is still more than I ever thought we’d get out of their reunion.

 

Apparently one of the Paper Kingdom tracks leaked in full today.

At that time, all I cared about was a new Star Wars movie... I wasnt as in to music as much as I would eventually become.. But looking back Im just so thankful.. Plus that dude is still my best friend to this day, so it was the universe or something being like... "Lets catch you up to speed and send you on your way.."
