Loved this season. Show feels as strong as ever imo. The first episode is still my favorite of the season, so good.

 

I think is going to be a season that people look back on much more positively after the series is over and they see it in context of the larger story .

This might be The Wire season 2 of The Bear lol

Knowing that they already have season 4 filmed makes it feel kinda shitty we might have to wait another year for this. It'd be cool if we get season 4 in like January/February.

 

The Emmys eligibility window starts in June of each year, which means that if they want to submit Season 4 during next award season, they won't release it until next June at the earliest. Unfortunately it's the most likely scenario, shows are too Award-hungry to even confider releasing two seasons of a show in the same eligibility window

 

Next June Bear season 4 and Fantastic Four should be coming out within weeks of eachother. Big Cousin Summer.

 

I kind of get the feeling Season 4 will happen way sooner than everyone thinks. Like, this fall? Most seasons do not end with a 'To Be Continued' at the very end, so the fact that we got that line makes me think we won't be waiting a whole year, and we know it's been filmed and most likely edited, so I could see it dropping in the next few months.

Overall thoughts for season 3 - definitely my least favorite, but still great, which just exemplifies how fantastic this series is.

Episode 1 was sensational. Honestly felt more like a finale rather than a season opener.

Absolutely criminal though we went an entire season without an interaction between Carmy and Claire.

 

thought i read somewhere that they haven't finished filming S4 yet, and only shot small elements instead of the whole thing because they wanted more time to finish the scripts. could be wrong though.

 

They have some maybe most of the filming done for s4, but last I heard they weren’t coming back until march because the writers want more time to finish the season (series?) properly.

 

yeah, that's kinda what i saw. idk the exact proportion of the season they shot, but there's definitely some of it that's done. early 2025 seems correct for both the scripts and the schedules of the actors. i do agree that S4 might be the end just based on everyone's desire to work on other stuff, so it'll be interesting to see where they take the show in that regard.

 

Ep 1 & 6 were exceptional and possibly my favorite eps of the series.

 

I thought 6 was the weakest of the season. The child birth episode was probably my favorite

Donna reminds me way too much of my own mother. E8 of this season was the most stressed out I’ve been watching this show since “Review”

 

The Tina and Sugar episodes both are fantastic

need Ayo directing more episodes ASAP

 

Like, just having the confidence to just sit with Tina and Mikey for like that whole scene and really let that scene just breathe was so impressive.

 

Haha same for my fiance. She makes me skip Fishes on rewatches now.

 

My wife, too! Comes from a big catholic family in Dayton OH, and gets so freaked out by Fishes.

 

Midway through the season now. Thoroughly enjoying the visual and musical storytelling. The Tina-focused episode is probably my favorite so far.

 

John Cena as a Fak is perfect

 

Episode 8 might be one of my favorites of the whole show, if not my favorite. So moving and such incredible performances. Damn.

 

Just finished Tina's episode last night. Definitely my favorite of the season so far. As someone who recently experienced the being layed off and trying to find a new job for months it really hit me and made me tear up a bit.

The Mikey/Tina riff at the end was magical.

 

Man there are a bunch of people on The Bear subreddit who are pissed at how often the Faks are on screen this season and complaining that is because Matty is an exec producer now.

I jokingly said "you can never have too much Fak" (which is true imo) and got down voted to oblivion lol
